Guerilla showcases are an important networking and fun part of our SERFA conference.
GUERILLA SHOWCASE HOST GUIDE
Guerilla showcase in progress
- These showcases will be held in meeting rooms in the main building.
- You must sign up to register your guerilla showcase at: http://www.serfa.org/register-for-serfa-2012 and select "Guerilla Showcase Host Fee (per night)" for as many nights as you would like.
- Guerilla showcases are only permitted Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings (directly after the Official Showcases) from 10:45pm to 2:00am.
- Hosts and artists may network through the SERFA Google Group. Hosts may post that they are looking for artists and artists may post that they are looking for showcases. Posts should include off-list contact information/email. Replies should go directly to the poster and not to the general public on the listserv.
- Hosts must submit the final showcase schedule to Christine Stay by April 15th so that the schedule can be included in the Official Program, which is presented to all attendees at the conference. If you MISS the deadline, you will be responsible for promoting your showcase. PLEASE get your information to us on time.
Guerilla showcasing!Guerilla showcases are ACOUSTIC ONLY. No amplification devices are permitted. Exemptions to this rule (for instruments such as electronic keyboards) must be approved on a one-by-one basis.- Setting up your guerilla space is your responsibility. It is also your responsibility to return your space to its original configuration before checkout. Please, no candles in your space!
- All hosts and performers in the guerilla showcases must be registered for the full conference in advance. Thank you in advance for making this easier for all of us to support.
