Our SERFAfolk and SERFAvenue Google Groups allow us more control over our lists and messages - specifically spam. All the messages are moderated, therefore, spam messages are not likely to get to you. So far, we've not seen spam at all. But if we do, we can stop it from being delivered to the entire group.

Also, I can tell you that I (Kim) have not received any spam email as a result of joining the Google Group. I have also talked to several other members who report the same. So, I feel confident you can join our Google Groups safely.
